Here’s a great way to kick-start the New Year: Liberty Wine’s Taste BC 2011! This popular annual event will be held on January 18th, 2011, from 4:30 – 7:30 pm at the Hyatt Regency Vancouver (655 Burrard Street).

Guests will enjoy BC’s finest wine, beer, and spirits, alongside small dishes from local restaurants.

Wineries sampling at the event will include Nk’Mip, Blasted Church Vineyards, Therapy Vineyards, Quail’s Gate Winery, Burrowing Owl, Tinhorn Creek, Road 13, Mistaken Identity Vineyards, and Forbidden Fruit.

In addition, there will be live music, door prizes, and a silent auction. Proceeds from the event will aid BC Children’s Hospital’s Oak Tree Clinic.

You can purchase tickets at all Liberty Wine locations for $49.99 plus service charges/fees. I’ve been given a pair of tickets to give away. Enter by leaving a comment on this post for a chance to win!

I’ll draw a winning name at random on Friday, January 7 at 5 pm

Contest now closed. β˜… Timmm, you’re the winner! β˜… I’ll be contacting you shortly via email on how to claim your tickets. Thanks to everyone for reading my post and entering the contest.

I would love to surprise my boyfriend with a pair of tickets to this. I’m sure like everyone else, post-holiday budgets aren’t that large, so this would be a treat.

I drink wine and I’m really funny after 2.5 glasses. Very witty, comically dark, and a refreshingly knowledgeable without the conceit; I’m a 2nd generation Vancouverite, trained in the Jedi arts, snowboard, and would love and thoroughly appreciate spending an evening tasting the wonderful wine creations at a beautiful venue.
