Lululemon Menswear-3

As February rolls around, the days start to get longer, and in Vancouver, annual Sun Run (the city’s popular 10k run) training is well under way. To get us motivated, we checked out a couple of pieces from Lululemon’s current menswear collection.

The long-sleeve Metal Vent Tech Henley is created with both anti-stink (!) technology and ventilation for breathability; the design includes moisture wicking areas where the body sweats the most. If you’re not a fan of the three small-buttoned look, there’s also the Metal Vent Tech sans buttons in the same round-neck style with slightly different stitching detail.

This seamless, lightweight top is great for all sports. It’s soft and comfortable to wear with stretchy areas where needed most. The stylish shirt also boasts Silverescent® (powered by X-STATIC®), aimed at inhibiting the growth of odour-causing bacteria.

Go ahead and sweat all you want in this shirt; my husband found the fit true to size and the colour he chose (heathered spiced olive) is an excellent contrast to his black Seawall Lined Track Pant 2.0.

The Metal Vent Tech Henley comes in Heathered Spiced Olive (grey-green), Heathered Black (cool grey), and Heathered Caspian (powder) blue and retails for CDN $84.

The Seawall lined track pants are created with post-workouts in mind. There’s enough room to layer up with a pair of running tights underneath for trips to the gym or for cold weather training sessions. The sweat-wicking, four-way stretch material fits comfortably around the waist and legs, with the option to cinch them at the ankles with an inner drawstring.

These all-around pants are going to be great for spring walks and cooler evenings at the beach. We like the pinstriped pattern and non-bulky design (unlike everyday sweatpants that offer a lot of cotton but little form). Tucked away in the right front pocket is a smaller pocket to accommodate cash, keys, or an mp3 player. The Seawall has an inseam of 34 1/2” and a leg opening of 17”.

The Seawall Track Pant 2.0 Lined is also available in Shadow (cool grey, black waistband), Wren (dark khaki, black waistband), and Inkwell (deep blue) and retails for CDN $128. A similar unlined version is also available at CDN $118.
