With so many 2010 Winter Olympics one year anniversary celebrations taking place this coming weekend, here’s an event you may not have heard about: The 2nd Annual Tweed Ride.

“Leisurely cycling for Ladies and Gentlemen alike around the wall of Seas ending at a venue for Tea of upmost nostalgia.”

Cyclists, fashion lovers, historians, steampunks, environmentalists and everyone in between are invited to enjoy an afternoon of cycling and hot tea.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 12, from 2:30 – 6:30 pm. The route will take in the Seawall and begin near the Stanley Park Rowing Club. There will prizes awarded for most marvelous moustache, most dapper chap, most dashing dame, and the tweediest! Socializing and libations at the London Pub will follow.
