This holiday weekend, The Raincity Grill is up to some fun summer happenings.

Steak and Eggs

Saturday, July 30th is Food Day Canada. This coast-to-coast initiative is a celebration of Canadian food. Events are planned across the country. Raincity Grill is just one of the 300 restaurants that will celebrate Food Day across Canada by offering a special “True North, Strong and Free” inspired brunch.

Chef Jennifer Peters has created a gorgeous two-course brunch menu for just $20, including such items as Saskatchewan Organic Green Lentil “Cassoulet” with bacon & duck confit, poached egg, and “East Coast Style” Potato Hash served with ham hock and caramelized onions. View the menu online.

Raincity is also offering a prix fixe dinner (with options available within each course) for all three Celebration of Light nights (July 30th, August 3rd and 6th). The patio has the best view of the fireworks, and is the first area to fill up. Seating for the fireworks begins at 8:15 pm, with fireworks getting underway at 10 pm. Fireworks on the patio is $100 per person (inside seating is $75 per person).

The Annual Vancouver Pride Parade is on Sunday, July 31st. The parade begins at noon. Raincity is throwing their annual Recovery/Pride Brunch on the sun-soaked patio (Sunday’s weather forecast: 21 degrees). Brunch guests can check out all the action, front and centre. Enjoy the view with a mimosa in hand!
