FWE Program

Last night, the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs (FWE) held their Annual Gala, celebrating women entrepreneurs in the wine industry. Held at the Fairmont Waterfront Hotel, the room was packed with over 500 members and guests who were there to enjoy a networking reception, silent auction, and dinner.

Since 2002, the Forum for Women Entrepreneurs has provided mentorship, education, and support for women entrepreneurs. The programs within its organization help women to both increase business opportunities and their skill set. FWE has an amazing group of successful members. I was impressed by their visibility within the community.

According to FWE Chair and Founder, Christina Anthony, “We couldn’t be more excited for this year’s Gala. The caliber of the women entrepreneurs in B.C.’s wine industry is truly next-to-none. Being able to celebrate their achievements with some of our province’s best and brightest is an absolute honor.”

There was an amazing selection of auction items on display. Everything from Winemaker for a Day from Laughing Stock Vineyards, to a full Napa Valley Experience, including flights, tastings, and accommodation, was up for grabs!

It was also pretty cool to meet Terry David Mulligan and Sandra Oldfield, owner of Tinhorn Creek Vineyards. Both Terry David Mulligan and Daenna Van Mulligen (of Wine Diva fame) were on hand for a live taping of The Tasting Room.
