Checking out Kitsilano’s @noshtruth, opening on Wednesday #WBroadway #fb

Though nosh has had a few ‘family and friends’ previews and a quick one day grand opening celebration, it will be officially open this Wednesday, January 16.

This is the first location for the Canadian-owned restaurant whose menu will feature home-cooked meals, sides, sandwiches, rotisserie, baked goods and drinks (with both wine and beer on tap). The interior was designed by Vancouver-based firm Janks Design Group.

Their promotional material contains a great Oscar Wilde quote, “The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it.” And to that nosh’s added poke at good clean fun: “Especially when it’s chocolate praline brownies“.

nosh will also be part of the 2013 Vancouver Dine Out Festival starting on January 18. The $18 menu has several items that speak to winter warmth. Entrees will be paired with BC VQA wines. I’m looking forward to tucking into some of their winter greens and root vegetable hash (both $3-8, depending on size). The hash contains house-made bacon, herbs, and garlic. Yum.

nosh has a refrigerated cooler area for take-out sandwiches, soups, salads and Sous Vide specials. Sous Vide products are vacuum-packed to preserve a product’s integrity while allowing for easy reheating.

nosh-1

There’s also a Love at First Bite event scheduled for Valentine’s Day, from 11 am to 9 pm. Details should be available online in the near future.

nosh is located at 2582 West Broadway Avenue at the corner of Trafalgar in Vancouver’s Kitsilano neighbourhood.

    Hi There

Nosh was designed by us. Pls add that note to your lovely review. And yes, their food is scrumptious, and service even better!
