We’ve got lots more winter on the way and with that, we checked out a couple of Canada Goose’s warm and cozy jackets for our three-season climate here on the West coast.
Men’s Hybridge Base Down Jacket Matte Finish

Easily packable, it’s the perfect layering jacket for cool to cold climates.
I’ve become a fan of Canada Goose since owning their Hybridge Lite Hoody (temperature-rated from 5°C/-5°C) for over five years, noticing very little wear and tear throughout the seasons.
The Hybridge Base had been updated using CORDURA® fabric, including articulated sleeves with Dynamic Knit fabric sewn in at flex points (under arms and along shoulder blades) for added range of motion using a double-weave, three-layer fabric with four-way stretch.
FYI, Canada Goose uses hypoallergenic, lab-tested Canadian down in all its products, offering a guarantee of cleanliness standards in producing their line of gear. A strict adherence to avoiding any materials involving the live-plucking of duck or geese during the harvest process is also minded.
The two-way, stowable hood comes in handy when the wind kicks up. The chin guard offers a comfortable brushed tricot fabric while a storm flap under the center front zipper adds additional high-wind protection.
As well, a key fob contained in the interior pocket is a great touch during cold days when you can’t be bothered to dig out your keys! What makes this jacket so cozy? Canadian-sourced, 800 Fill Power Hutterite white goose down! Wear it over a light fleece or cashmere sweater and you’re good to go.

Women’s Hybridge Lite Down Coat
The Women’s Hybridge Lite Down Coat is the longer version cousin of the Hybridge Lite Hoody, a lightweight technical down with Tensile-Tech fabric under the arms and side panels for comfort and ease of movement. The three-season, water-repellent coat is well suited for layering — and packs into itself via the exterior left pocket!
Canada Goose uses 800-Fill Power Hutterlite North American White Goose Down, which can be machine washed (gentle cycle) and even tumble dried.
The collar has a brushed tricot lining for extra warmth while the stretch cuff binding (with thumb loop) keeps sleeves in place.
This one has two zippered hand pockets and an internal stretch mesh pocket, however unlike the Hybridge Lite Hoody, is missing the two upper chest zippered pockets.
A two-way locking front zipper contains a wind guard at the neck; you’ll gain added visibility via a reflective tape design on both back of collar and hood.
This jacket is a slim fit so if you’re planning on layering with heavier sweaters, I’d suggest going up a size. I love wearing mine with a light cashmere sweater underneath. West coast-weather wise, that’s usually enough to keep me warm through fall, winter and spring (the Hybridge is temperature rated for 5°C to -5°C.
