We’re looking forward to a summer of long, sunny days that include refreshing eats and drinks. And to help greet the warmer days, Soft Peaks Ice Cream has announced a new line of creamy treats: Ice Milk Bars in original, blueberry and matcha flavours.
You can then design your own topping and syrup combinations with choices such as fresh local honeycomb, house-made blueberry purée or Tim Tam flakes. Bars are also available “naked” (sans toppings), or simply dipped in melted chocolate. Special seasonal flavours will also be featured.
Now in their second year of business, Soft Peaks owners (and brothers) Dan and Ken Kim are excited to expand Soft Peaks’ offering. The ice milk bars were part of their original business plan.
The duo take their time perfecting their line, ensuring exceptional quality while making everything from scratch. These bars are made fresh in house daily starting with a signature organic milk soft serve base; added ingredients are churned in for a thicker and creamier consistency. The mixture is then poured into eight-ounce moulds and flash frozen.
Find Soft Peaks’ ice milk bars ($4 each plus toppings) and other delightful summery treats at 25 Alexander Street in Vancouver’s thriving Gastown hood. The shop’s open Wednesday to Monday (closed Tuesdays) from noon to 10 pm.
