We love a great-fitting pair of pants, but when they’re also designed to travel and to cycle in, all the better!

Our friends at DUER have recently launched a whole lot of new men’s and women’s clothing and just in time for fall, we popped in for a preview of the latest and greatest finds in their Gastown headquarters.

The store is divided into four spaces: men’s up front, women’s in center, office/stock in back, a play space with hammock and pillows above.

Try on some of their jeans and walk around the artificial grass space, cozy up on a wooden swing, or sit on the stationery bike for a real-time fit.

DO•ER = A person that gets things done with vigour.

With gusseted styling, DWR (durable water repellent) treated fabrics, super stretch, adaptability and durability, DUER pants are organized by cuts and washes.

The Dish by DUER Straight & Narrow is one of the big sellers; the Rinse wash (a classic indigo colour) is a straight-up top seller across the board.

A couple other big trends they’ve included in their women’s jean lineup are the Adaptive Denim Skinny Side Slit and Step-Up jeans (the front half has a higher leg than in back with a raw hem finish, perfect for showcasing a pair of heels).

The women’s collection will include more technical features in the future, as well as the additions of jackets and shirts.

Dish by DUER’s High Rise Streamline is the newest cut, slightly tiered at the base of the leg with a looser fit. It’s the modern take on the classic 90’s “Mom jean”. L2X denim is a Tencel-based cotton/lycra mix that controls temperature and adapts to the elements. It’s also made from eucalyptus, creating a naturally soft pant.

On the men’s side, the DUER Hybrid LifeFree Adventure Pant has DWR treatment, a gusseted fit and even sports a keyring near one of the back pockets. This street-style pant goes right from travelling to camping.

The Live Lite Pant contains a cotton/Tencel/polyester/spandex blend that stretches, is odour-resistant and moisture-wicking, excellent for cycling to work.

DUER’s No Sweat Pant has a similar blend with a knit fabric, making it a great all-season pant, starting with autumn. This pant is a big part of the current collection for men.
