Beauty comes in all shapes and sizes, even smells. Richmond-based Smellologists, Smell This! Aromatherapy, has partnered with South Granville iconic retailer Lord’s Shoes to host an evening of shopping and creating signature scents from a pure scent bar, to help change the lives of women living in poverty.

On Thursday, June 21, participants will get the chance to create their own signature scent, a Purefume™, using pure essential oils that are free from parabens, chemicals, and alcohol. Smell This! Signature Scent Bar™ offers 40 different essential oils that can each be blended together to create a customized scent and presented in a roll-on applicator. Each personalized formula is kept on file for future use towards a signature product such as body lotion or massage oil.

Smell This! Aromatherapy only uses natural, plant-based ingredients that have a reputation of being tried and true, PETA approved, and ethical.

This evening of shopping and scents will benefit local, award winning charity Beauty Night Society. This vital, non-profit organization helps to build self-esteem while changing lives for women living in poverty through three streams of programming: Wellness, Life Skills Development, and Makeovers. Thanks to over 500 volunteers, Beauty Night has given 16,000 life makeovers in 11 years.

According to founder Caroline Macgillivray, “I am excited to have the support of Smell This! Aromatherapy, and Lords Shoes. I am honored that people who want to support our cause will have the opportunity to experience what Beauty Night Society is all about.”
