Revlon Be Fabulous hair care

Earlier this year, I was introduced to Revlon’s new be FABULOUS™ range of hair care products. The lineup includes both in-salon professional treatments and a collection of home maintenance products.

After five years of research, Revlon’s innovative C.R.E.A.M. (Color Protection, Repair, Enhancement, Anti-Age, Moisturizing) system is at the core of the beauty company’s first foray into the hair product industry. At Kitsilano’s Salon Haze, I received the be FABULOUS™ Hair Recovery treatment, meant to provide deep repair for all types of damaged (and coloured) hair.

My hair type is normal with medium-dry texture at the moment, so senior stylist Cher married my hair type with the Normal/Thick hair care line.

This range helps to protect colour, fight signs of hair aging and improve the hair’s overall appearance and texture. A second line designed specifically for fine hair adds body and volume without weighing the hair down.

The be FABULOUS™ C.R.E.A.M. System

COLOR PROTECTION: The be FABULOUS™ range is formulated using patented technology and Quaternium-22, a highly effective active ingredient that helps to slow color loss.

REPAIR: Efficacy tests have shown that be FABULOUS™ reduces cuticle damage and helps to build resistance to breakage, resulting in soft, smooth and perfectly-conditioned hair.

ENHANCEMENT: be FABULOUS™ has been designed to enhance the hair’s radiance. The C.R.E.A.M. system contains Panthenol, a precursor of Vitamin B5 that helps to improve shine.

ANTI-AGE: Over time, hair loses consistency, volume and shine. be FABULOUS™ helps restore the hair’s vitality, volume and youthful radiance and includes powerful antioxidant Vitamin E.

MOISTURIZING: be FABULOUS™ products are formulated with Betaine and Panthenol, two compounds commonly used in cosmetics for their moisturizing properties.

This range is complemented by serums developed specifically for the hair and scalp.

Revlon Be Fabulous hair care

After an assessment of my hair and recommended follow-up routine, Cher begins the four-step be FABULOUS™ treatment.

It starts with the be FABULOUS™ Hair Recovery open cuticle shampoo to help open the cuticle to enable the keratin mask’s absorption while deep-cleansing hair and scalp. The Hair Recovery keratin mask is then applied and left on for 20 minutes to work into the hair, under a rotating heat machine.

Revlon beFABULOUS/keratin mask

This is my first time having a hair mask and this key step acts to replenish the internal level of your hair fiber, the outside of the hair and the cortex.

The mask gets rinsed out with the Hair Recovery cuticle sealer shampoo, working to seal the cuticle and prolong the benefits of the keratin mask. Finally, the Hair Recovery keratin conditioner is applied for shine and softness. Once my hair is blow-dried, the softness is immediate.

My hair looks more ‘together’ and shiny. I’m looking forward to seeing how the product lasts through washings and am going to follow up with the home care system.

Every few days, my new routine will include Revlon’s be FABULOUS™ C.R.E.A.M. shampoo, conditioner and on an as-needed basis, the be FABULOUS™ C.R.E.A.M. mask that gets left on a few minutes after applying to your hair.

A big thanks to Salon Haze for demonstrating the product line and giving me a wonderful in-salon treatment using them!

Just wondering how you found your revelon befabulous hair cream products that you used at home?

    Hi Crystal,

I’m finding the shampoo leaves my hair feeling a bit greasy so I’m only using the conditioner about 2x a week going forward. Thanks for stopping in to check out our site!
