Callister Brewing Company-2

Launched last July by Christopher Lay and Diana McKenzie, Callister Brewing Co. is one of Vancouver’s newest breweries, operating as Canada’s first collaborative brewery incubator. Here, smaller breweries just getting their feet wet in the industry can brew and sell small-batch beers on a yearly contract basis.

Callister Brewing aims to provide the foundation of an existing support and peer-learning network by creating accessibility to equipment and commercial facilities, allowing professional brewers and home brewers alike to grow their business and engage the craft beer community.

Callister Brewing has already gained a loyal following in Yeast Van’s brew hood. Callister offers mostly European styles, Machine Ales focuses on Pacific Northwest IPA, Brewery Creek Brewing is all about Belgian sessional table beers and Real Cask Brewing specializes in English cask ales served on cask engines.

A majority of the beer is sold on constantly rotating taps in the tasting room. You can also find some of the beers in casks and kegs in various craft beer oriented pubs, including St. Augustine’s and the Alibi Room.
