Vancouver Canadians housing

For the past 14 years, the three-time defending NWL Champion Vancouver Canadians have asked local families to come forward and be a part of their team by becoming a Housing Family from mid-June through early September.

When longtime Major League star Nick Swisher first stepped onto a Major League Baseball field as a player, a couple here in Vancouver watched every moment of his breakthrough.

“We have been extremely lucky to have a number of local families open up their homes for the summer and become a part of our success,” says Canadians Director of Community Relations Jeff Holloway.

“Our players play a hectic schedule over the course of the summer and for many of them this is their first experience in professional baseball – so things are coming at them pretty fast. The fact that we have a number of families that welcome them home, share our city and culture with each player is really something these athletes never forget regardless of how many years they go onto play”.

What’s involved in becoming a Vancouver Canadians Housing family?

You will need to provide a bedroom with a place for a player to stay. Become a part of the player’s overall experience in Vancouver by showing him the city and in turn receive complimentary season tickets. Cheer on your future Major League Baseball player through the summer, while helping a talented ball player fulfill their dream.

This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience, having a professional baseball player stay right in your own home for a summer!

Whether you are a large family, or a couple that loves baseball and being an ambassador for our team and city – we would love to hear from you. Please be remotely close to our stadium as we will have to get your player to and from the ballpark.
